Imagery

The Short Fiction Hub celebrates the short fiction art-form, but we wouldn't know one end of a pencil from another.

The use of third-party images, including AI-generated ones, is necessary, so we don't distract from the written works on this site.

To give this perspective, we still use Photoshop 7 (released in 2002!). We tried a couple of later releases but removal from our comfort zone was more than we could bear.

So, to remain focused on what we are good at, we do not waste our time in ham-fisted pursuits like graphic design, photography or dance aerobics.

Instead, we use third-party resources like Pexels and Unsplash to add imagery that accentuates and compliments our stories. Only where absolutely necessary will we use AI image tools to create relevant imagery.

Also keep in mind that we have no money...like none.

We hope that you enjoy the short stories on this site and simultaneously recognise how lucky you are not to witness our original artwork or photography. Seriously, what we created in that one art subject at university should never be allowed to see the light of day.

We would love to hear from you, so please contact us via the contact form below and do consider subscribing to the (ir)regular newsletter.

If you would like to support the Short Fiction Hub directly, please consider buying us a coffee.
